Billy was bought as a hurdler, but broke the stopper bone in his wrist. He was given a long time to recover but his wrist was still not strong enough to cope with racing so he was brought home where he lived in the house for most of his life.
He lived a long and happy life, although in the last few years he decided one walk a day was enough for him so chose only to go in the mornings. His sight deteriorated but as he had lived in the same surroundings for years, he had no problems walking about the house and all around the garden whenever he wanted, we just had to remember not to put objects in the usually clear paths so he wouldnt walk into them!!!
