Chloe also did not race as when she was younger, she ran into a fence post whilst in a large grass paddock. She chipped a piece of bone off her knee cap, but the operation to repair it did not work so the movement in her left back leg is very restricted. Because of this, she could not race as ahe would not be able to take the bends at full speed. She now lives in the house with her best friend Amy the German Shepherd who is the same age as her.
Chloe runs around the park during her twice daily walk. She is only slightly affected by her injury in that she cannot turn corners or slow down quickly and if she is chasing a stick or a ball, will run double the distance past it and will have to loop round in a big ark and come back to get it. Other than that, she is unaffected and can run very fast, leaving Amy trailing, even if she is only jogging!
Chloes love sneaking onto the leather chairs when no one is looking, as you can see from the p
ictures, and playing with the numerous toys that are all over the place. She has been on holiday where she enjoyed running the length of the beach along the shore line, through the breaking waves, with Amy trailing behind, back and forth until they were both exhausted! She has also been on a Narrow Boat holiday where she was surprisingly quick in learning how to jump on and off the boat!
Chloe is still living life to the max, sneaking into the front room for a nap on the sofa when she can!!!
