Blondie is still racing and competing in open races over marathon distances. She has won at Reading, Rye House (once beating second placed Yamaha Autumn in a 680m open by 11 1/4 lengths!!), Romford and Crayford. She has come second in many more due to her style of running - dropping herself to the back, finding all possible trouble in a race and then leaving it too late to win! She comes from a litter that included Black Pear- multiple track record holder, Cock O'The North winner and Tony Morris Trophy winner to name but a few!

She was also entered into the Dick Handley Memorial Stakes at the Greyhound Breeders Festival at Harlow Stadium in September 2006 - a category for registered broods that have never whelped but are destined for the stud. Out of the 17 entries, she came an impressive 2nd!!!!
Blondie started her career at Reading under another trainer as Churchview Time (winning seven races and achieving a 4-in-a-row in graded company) before becoming a Noahs dog and racing at Rye House and Opens at Milton Keynes, Walthamstow (just missing out on a place in the final of the Storetodoor London Marathon by a head), Sittingbourne (only 4 1/4 lengths behind Westmead Olivia), Mildenhall, Crayford and Romford.
She began racing graded races at Rye House, due to the lack of finding marathon runs for her, but when Rye House closed she had to move back to the marathon open circuit. Blondie was then retired and had a litter of 7 pups, all of which should soon be racing. You can track their progress on this website or their bolg at http://thesuperseven.blogspot.com. Their racing names are Noahs Phoenix, Lynx, Columba, Ursa Minor, Vela, Sagitta and Camaeleon, aka Joey, Dougie, Lucy, Gummi, Phoebe, Apple and Dotty.
